This Law inter alia aims to ensure the sustainable development of the territory; to assess the current and prospective potential for territorial development at the national and local level; to promote appropriate actions for the protection, restoration and enhancement of the quality of natural and cultural heritage; enable the right to use and develop property; create appropriate conditions and equal opportunities for housing, and economic and social activities for all social categories; economic and social cohesion and enjoyment of property rights; to ensure that national and local planning authorities draft and regularly update planning documents; to ensure that planning authorities coordinate their planning activities to promote harmonized and integrated territorial planning.
