Talk: “Made in Albania”

Rhythms of Matter continues with an open talk by internationally renowned architect and professor Christian Kerez.

Known for a design language that pushes space to its limits, Kerez’s work explores how architectural and sculptural poetics can emerge from pure spatial logic. Through both practice and academia, including his remarkable professorship at ETH Zürich, he has developed a body of work that continuously questions how space, structure, and form are conceived.

Since September 2024, Kerez has been working in Albania and recently relocated to Tirana from Milan. During the talk he will also share reflections on his recent experience designing and working in Albania. The evening will move through a selection of his projects together with broader reflections on architecture as an exploration of matter and space.
